The University of Chicago Police Department (UCPD) reported the following incidents between Dec. 17 and Dec. 20.

On Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 3 a.m., suspects gained unlawful entry to an off-campus retail establishment located at 5104 S. Lake Park Ave., the location of Michaels, and took several boxes of merchandise from an elevator connected to the store, the doors of which were open. The Chicago Police are investigating.
On Dec. 18 at 2:35 p.m., police received a report that someone had broken the window of a car parked in a parking structure at 5840 S. Maryland Ave. and stole electronics from the vehicle.
On Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 12:54 p.m., an unauthorized individual disregarded previous oral and written warnings not to enter University of Chicago property and was arrested by the UCPD at McGiffert House, 5751 S. Woodlawn Ave., for trespassing.
On Dec. 19 at 9:50 p.m., two suspects, described as black men, pushed a 71-year-old woman to the ground when she exited her vehicle on the 1400 East block of 56th Street, stole her purse and fled in a waiting car that drove off southbound. No one is in custody. The Chicago Police are investigating.
