The University of Chicago Police Department (UCPD) reported the following incidents between Dec. 21 and Dec. 27.

On Friday, Dec. 21, at 8 p.m., two suspects pushed a victim walking at 1345 E. 50th St. to the ground and took her purse before fleeing in a waiting vehicle. The Chicago Police are investigating.
On Saturday, Dec. 22, at 3:04 a.m, a UCPD officer arrested a motorist for a DUI at 1701 E. 55th St.
On Dec. 22 at 10:05 p.m., three suspects, described as black men, demanded and took property from a victim walking at 5343 S. Cornell Ave. The Chicago Police are investigating.
On Dec. 22 at 10:10 p.m., a suspect armed with a handgun entered a victim’s vehicle stopped at the traffic signal at 5100 S. Woodlawn Ave., displayed a handgun and announced a robbery, demanding the victim turn rght on Woodlawn Avenue. The UCPD report that the victim struggled with the suspect, and the Chicago Police report that the offender obtained the victim’s property and fled down an alley off of Woodlawn. The Chicago Police are investigating.
On Sunday, Dec. 23, at 2:57 a.m., a suspect armed with a firearm fired several shots in the direction of a victim walking at 810 E. Hyde Park Blvd. The victim was not injured, though a vehicle was damaged. The Chicago Police are investigating.
On Dec. 23 at 11:49 a.m., UCPD officers assisted the Chicago Police during a domestic situation on the 5400 South block of Cornell Avenue. A 23-year-old female began stabbing herself, sustaining a small puncture wound to the abdomen and was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center for evaluation.
On Monday, Dec. 24, at 2:30 a.m., a UCPD officer arrested a motorist for the DUI at 5734 S. Ellis Ave.
On Dec. 24 at 9:31 p.m., a UCPD officer arrested a suspect at 1429 E. 49th St. who was wanted on a warrant from the Darien, Illinois, police department, in the Southwest Suburbs.
