The University of Chicago Police Department (UCPD) reported the following incidents between April 1 and April 6.

On Monday, April 1, at 10:04 a.m., a printer was taken from a workstation at the Crerar Library, 5730 S. Ellis Ave.; the UCPD arrested the thief the next day.

On Wednesday, April 3, at 9:02 a.m., the UCPD arrested a trespasser who ignored previous warnings and who was subsequently charged with two arrest warrants at 1116 E. 59th St.

On Thursday, April 4, at 5:50 p.m., a UCPD officer arrested a suspect struct a staff member with fist at the University of Chicago Medical Center, 5656 S. Maryland Ave.

On Friday, April 5, at 9:23 p.m., the UCPD arrested a suspect for possessing a firearm at the Center for Care and Discovery, 5700 S. Maryland Ave.

On Saturday, April 6, at 11:34 a.m., burglars forced entry into an apartment on the 6100 South block of Ellis Avenue and took property. The Chicago Police are investigating.

On April 6 at 7:45 p.m., a UCPD officer arrested a thief for retail theft at Target, 1346 E. 53rd St.

On Sunday, April 7, at 2 p.m., a person displayed a handgun after a traffic crash at 6115 S. Drexel Ave. but left before police were called. The Chicago Police are investigating.
