The University of Chicago swimming and diving teams were both recognized as Scholar All-America squads by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) this month for having earned 29 individual Scholar All-Americans awards, a program-record.
Twenty-five of those individual Scholar All-Americans were first-team selections, marking a program record amongst all 190 college programs across all NCAA Division schools.
First Team honorees achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competed at their respective college swimming and diving championships.
A total of 777 teams from 480 institutions made the Scholar All-America list at the conclusion of the academic year. Teams must achieve a team GPA of 3.0 or higher to earn the status.
